The ice storm that hit Atlanta last week didn’t dampen the spirts of the Gourmet Catalog members or the vendors attending the Gourmet Catalog Vendor showcase this past weekend. Numerous Gourmet stores from all over the US had the opportunity to get an early look at many new housewares products being introduced this year. The team from Edgeware demonstrated the new Ceramic Edge Electric Knife Sharpener. ( Item #50141)
One of the stars from Food Network’s Iron Chef, Cat Cora, was walking the floor of the showcase and stopped by the Edgeware table. Mark Harris, our Domestic Housewares Sales Manager has a favorite tool he uses to show the actual sharp edge of the knife after sharpening. Its a tiny magnified glass. Mark asked Cat if she liked sharp knives. “Of course,” she said. Mark replied, ” Do you want to see one?” He then let her look at the edge. Cat was really impressed and said she had never seen anything like that before.
